This Privacy Policy describes information associated with this website of the Surf Industry Members Association (SIMA), a nonprofit trade association located in Aliso Viejo, California. It covers browsing these pages and preparing an inquiry. External membership forms, account services, event registrations and payment services have their own privacy notices.
Information you provide
The contact form asks for your name, company, email address, inquiry topic and message. The form prepares an email in your chosen email application. Preparing an email does not submit the message to SIMA or store it in a website database. If you send the email or use a linked online form, the receiving service and SIMA receive the information you submit. Do not include full card numbers, security codes, government identifiers or sensitive documents.
How information is used
SIMA uses received inquiries to respond, discuss membership or programs, coordinate events and support, and address billing questions. Hosting services may receive technical request information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, browser information and access logs. These public pages contain no advertising or analytics trackers.
External forms and payments
Membership and renewal links may take you to forms operated for SIMA. Payment, registration and account services collect the information needed for their own functions under their notices. This website does not collect card details. Review the recipient and the service’s privacy notice before providing information.
Retention and security
